    MECHANIC – PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE & REPAIRING (Evening shift)

    The production team has a place for you!

    The work schedule goes from 4h30pm to 2h30am, for a total of 40 hours a week. Each shift includes a paid ½ hour lunch break.

    WAGE

    $20.79 to $25.40

    YOUR ROLE

    The incumbent of the position will ensure preventive maintenance and repairing of buildings, machinerie, equipments, and tooling.

    DAILY TASKS

    • Maintain and repare machinerie, welding equipment, and installations
    • Maintain and repare all equipments necessary for production
    • Ensure preventive maintenance on all buildings, equipments, and machinerie
    • Perform emergency operation when operators encounter issues with machines or equipment needed for production
    • Communicate to supervisor any adjustment necessary to the preventive maintenance program regarding regular problems
    • Detect any eventual equipment dammage, and be aware of machinerie maintenance needs
    • Mindful of one’s own safety and that of others
    • Can be required to train new employees
    • Contribute to the department and the company’s collective effort
    • Patricipate to departmental meetings
    • Share improvement ideas with the team
    • Perform any other related duties assigned by supervisor

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • Industrial Mechanics Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) or 3 to 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing
    • Ability to read and interpret industrial drawings and welding symbols
    • Masters welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW)
    • Good observation skills
    • Good manual dexterity
    • Sense of autonomy, resourcefulness, and is productive
    • Respects health and safety regulations
